Tantavi 5th Series- Silken

A Series of “Tantavi Silken2010" is being showcased in various parts of the country the National Centre of Textile Design, which will exhibit 126 exquisite varieties in different colour combinations of Silken fabric. The them of “Silken Tantavi” is based on the feel, handle and softness of the fabric, using silk, cotton and wool fiber. All of the fabrics developed by 22 Weavers Services Centres, initiative of the Development commissioner for Handlooms, Ministry of Textile.

The series contains photographs and technical details of all the fabrics developed and display at the “Tantavi Silken 2010” exhibitions, woven by skilled weavers, and will enable the discerning exporter, manufacturers, weavers and designers to look at the way the Indian handloom weavers transform their skill into fabric.
